This pull request moves the extensive PDF font design notes from the comments at the top of
src/api/pdfrenderer.cppto a new, dedicated documentation file atdoc/pdf.md.This change improves the readability of the C++ source file by separating the implementation from the detailed design documentation, as suggested in the issue.
Closes #4466.
